Artist Statement

My work explores the theme of erosion and the effects it has on the physical and mental state of a person and the world we live in. If you strip away the problems of everyday life, your spirit steps away from the burdens and helps you to focus on the true nature of life which is to be free and to experience everything you want out of life! Erosion wears away inner light, but it can also clear away the dead weight that clutters your path. I use painting and sculpture to communicate a positive and constructive view of the world!

“I believe art can be created from anything, just be resourceful, because everything is possible!” – Ben Snowden

I have been a finalist in the National Open Art Competition 2015, the Platform Open Arts Competition 2015 & 2016, the Black Swan Arts Open 2016, The Bath Open Art Prize 2019, Ferens Art Gallery Open Exhibition 2019 & 2022, the Bradford Open Exhibition 2011 & 2019, the Barbican Arts Group Trust – Artworks Open 2020 and the New Light Prize Exhibition 2020/21

One of my paintings was featured in ‘Made in Britain – 82 Painters of The 21st Century’ at The National Gallery of Poland in Gdansk (2019) – the first British Painting Exhibition in Poland for 40 years – This Exhibition was organised by The Priseman and Seabrook Collection
